Sotiris Ouzounis holds an integrated master’s in biomedical engineering from the Dept. of Biomedical Engineering, University of West Attica, Greece. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the same department (Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. I. Kalatzis) while being a member of the Biomarker Discovery & Translational Research laboratory at the Institute of Chemical Biology, National Hellenic Research Foundation (Supervisor: Research Assist. Prof. T. Katsila). His dissertation is focused on the computational analysis of 1D and 3D data for drug repurposing in diabetes mellitus. He has also worked on the processing and analysis of biomedical data in collaboration with the Medical Image & Signal Processing laboratory, Dept. of Biomedical Engineering, University of West Attica, Greece.
