For the last decade, Stephanie has studied vaccine preventable infectious diseases with particular focus on understanding host-pathogen interactions and correlates of complement-mediated protection. Her research interests have included work on many paediatric pathogens including Group B Streptococcus and the role of placental antibodies for protection against disease. As part of the Group B Streptococcus Assay Standardisation (GASTON) Consortium, she has worked on developing functional killing assays to assist vaccine development. Stephanie is currently working on GASTON 2 continuing her research in the field of GBS. She graduated from University of Edinburgh (BSc with Honours in Immunology) and a Masters degree (MSc Immunology) from Imperial College London.
