Simon started out his career, working for a bank as a systems developer. He managed to escape the corporate world in 2004 and start making a living as a private trader in the futures market. He also became an Angel Investor in early stage tech and has been running the two investment strategies successfully alongside each other for the last 19 years. With some good angel exits under his belt and having ridden out some very hairy investment cycles, he has achieved financial freedom, but still continues to work hard.

After buying Bitcoin in 2013, Simon took a deep dive down that rabbit hole and got a really good understand of the technology. Bringing together his understanding of economics, finance, technology and the psychology of human incentives he holds high hopes for decentralised systems. He now runs a team of developers that he funds out of his crypto investing profits. They have built Excliabur.FM, a decentralised audio application that enables NFTs of audio content.
