Vusi Bhengu is an all rounder whose ability to navigate the impulses that make life, has seen him working as the youngest political columnist for international publications. At the tender age of 19 years he was appointed as managing editor for the Congress of South Africans Trade Union's in-house publication; a position he held concurrently with that of deputy head of communications for the same organisation.

After spending two years with COSATU left to open his own communications consultancy company that worked communication strategies for political parties in the 2014 general elections and 2016 local government elections. He was also appointed as head of communications for the Liberated MetalWorkers Union (LIMUSA) in its formation, a position he held until he retired at just 24 years.

He went on to open a logistics business, first working as a driver for the company's first truck. Always looking for opportunity, he opened a second business that offered water storage solutions. Both these businesses gave birth to an exclusive shisanyama serving the community of Lamontville.

His business acumen saw him joining 136 young leaders who were selected from over 16 000 applicants for the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) residency program; An initiative of the Barack Obama administration to build a second layer of African leaders.

With all the inroads he had made in business he woke up one day and decided to go back to school to pursue his dream of being a world renowned technologist. Despite his academic background in political science and management studies, He enrolled for a diploma in Information and Communication Technologies at the Durban University Technology in 2019 and has never looked back.
