Azure DevOps Governance at Scale
In this session, I will be covering design principles for securing DevOps projects, from governance and strategy best practices, Identity and Permissions Models, to Security considerations.
I will be using Azure DevOps as the main tool, but all is applicable for all DevOps tools.
The session will be a mix of theoretical module and Hands-on/Demo.
What if Data mesh is the solution for your workloads?
In this session, I will be speaking about the Microsoft Entreprise Scale Analytics Design options, and Data mesh in action.
Starting from the Planing phase, going through the assessments and preparing the environments, then deployment strategies under the Data Mesh and CAF model.
I will be featuring some real world design issues and the things to do in order to get your workloads well-Architected.
Key words: Data Mesh, Data Landing Zones, Central Management and connectivity zones, Data Integration and Data Products, Infrastructure as Code, Analytics in action, DataOps.
The demonstration will take the form of an end to end deployment based on the Microsoft CAF ESLZ.
Interact with Azure Cosmos DB with .Net SDK
In this talk, I will going through the main features that interestes developers to use Azure Cosmos DB using the .NET SDK to insert data into Azure Cosmos DB, and query it using an azure app service Web app.
DataOps with Azure : How to set up CI/CD Data pipeline?
In this session, I will be covering Azure data services: Azure DataFactory/Azure Synapse Analytics as an orchestration /Integration tool and Azure DevOps as a CI/CD tool.
In this demonstration, I will show case the importance of DataOps to facilitate and maximize profit from setting up build and Deploy Strategies for greenfield cloud Native Data projects, but also data cataloging using Azure Purview and SHIR.
The demonstration is a real use case scenario, where developers and analysts need to collaborate in the same workspace using different branches and in two separate environments (Prod & Nprod)
Azure Synapse Analytics - The Swiss Army Knife
In this session, I will be deep diving into the core features from deploying the service, through provisioning your data pipelines, and setting up your dashboard visualizations, all of this using what I would call the Swiss Army Knife in the Data field from the wide selection of Microsoft Azure Data Engineering Services: Azure Synapse Analytics.
This session, will be more as a Train the Trainer session. I will be demonstrating real case scenarios from the major clients of Microsoft in the Data space.
Azure SQL Serverless : migration tips and security best practices
I will be talking about the advantages of moving your workloads to an Azure Sql Server with no servers to manage, fully PaaS. I will be showing Microsoft official recommendations on how to Secure your Data, best practices and recommendations of CIS workbench on how to use your Azure Sql server PaaS
How to get the most of Azure Security Center?
Azure Security Center : tips, awsome tricks and best practices to have a full overview of everything deployed within your subscriptions, and how you can make security a hobby and even better, a champions league among your collegues and company!
Azure Governance: Azure customized Policies
In this session, I will be mainly talking about how to create your own Azure policies, as many companies in nowadays uses Azure security Center and Azure Blueprint to set up a governance/Foundation around its infrastructure natively.
Agenda of the session:
Overview and use cases.
Concepts around Azure Policies/Initiatives, deployments, Aliases, built-in policies limitations..
Live demonstration.
Azure Bicep : Next generation of ARM templates
Bicep is a language for declaratively deploying the Infra as Code requirements for your application, right alongside the application code
in the source control repositories.
Azure Bicep is the next generation of ARM templates, easy to use.
Everything as a Code
"Automation is one of the pillars of the Cloud ecosystem, and it is nowadays a must in every compagny's strategy to ensure their 'Move to the Cloud journey' successfully.
The discussion will be around the basics, tools and best practices of effective automation strategy, by showing all the fields that could be automated : Everything as a code!"
Provisioning Infrastructure as a Code, deploy and manage code as a code, functions as a code, security as a code.
How to achieve your first Microsoft Official Training ?
In this session, I will be talking about 3 points:
1. How to find an Official MS Partner to collaborate with as an MCT?
2. How to use the learning Download Center and other benifits of being an MCT?
3. How to use the new metrics that matters tool ?
It will be in the format of a webinar, preferred audience for this session: New joiners to the MCT Program.

During the event will be presented by Sam Stepanyan OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project) which is a non-profit organization famous for the OWASP Top 10 Application Security Risks document, however that’s where the knowledge of OWASP resources ends for most people. Many organizations are simply unaware of OWASP’s hundreds of various tools, guidelines, standards, and other open-source projects. This talk will showcase how practitioners can implement various OWASP projects as foundational pieces of a successful application security program: from requirements gathering, threat modeling, vulnerability scanning, vulnerability management, security testing, code review to best practices, maturity assessments, and developer training.
All software contains vulnerabilities and this prevalence of software weaknesses is a key motivation for using application security testing (AST) tools, says Dr. Thomas P. Scanlon. With a growing number of application security testing tools available, it can be confusing for information technology leaders, developers, and engineers to know which tools address which issues. This talk will help to navigate the sea of offerings by categorizing the different types of AST tools available, explaining the benefits of each, and providing guidance on how and when to use each type of tool.
In a world of decentralized cloud architectures and continuous delivery, old-style WAFs are facing many challenges. A new way of runtime protection resolves both the organisational and technical problems. Daniel Estermann's talk will explain how Microgateways enforce Zero Trust, both while keeping up agility and facilitating a DevSecOps culture.
Abdelmajid Aneddame will close the session presenting DevSecOps and automation as one of the pillars of modern application developpement, by using Programmatic APIs to build everything as Code.
