Aisha Thurman-Cosby, is the Founder/CEO of Sales and Curriculum of Kuumba Early Childhood Partners, LLC. An administrator, educator, researcher, and practitioner with over 20 years of practicum and senior management experience, she believes we all have “a creative passion and a purpose”!

At present she is an Early Childhood Principal with New York City Department of Education. Prior to her principalship she served as a Senior Instructional Program Manager for the NYCDOE Division of Early Childhood.

A subject matter authority, she lectures on an array of topics including early childhood literacy, social-emotional wellness, race, equity and inclusion. Her advanced degrees include: School Building & District Leadership. Aisha Thurman-Cosby is a certified wellness coach, passionate agent of change, and a champion for all children.

Creating an Early Childhood Community that Prioritizes Social-Emotional Wellness

This presentation will examine the role of asset-based early childhood leadership as it pertains to creating an early childhood culture of social-emotional wellness and increase participants capacity to provide quality mindfulness practices that are scientifically researched, evidence-based, and culturally responsive.

Celebrating Diversity through Music, Movement and Language Development Experiences

This session will celebrate diversity through multi-cultural children's literature and expose participants to range of music, movement and language experiences.
