The Power Platform for .Net Developers

This session will give an overview of different areas of Microsoft's Power Platform, with a focus on how they can be extended with .Net. We'll look at how Power Automate is a strong automation engine on its own but becomes unstoppable when you combine it with Azure Functions. We'll show how to create event driven plugins (similar to database triggers) using .NET, Visual Studio and Command Line Tooling. We'll also look at writing a custom Virtual Entity provider so you can surface complex data from other data sources and interact with it as if it were natively stored in Power Platform. This session is a live build and will show the strengths and best use cases for each area.

Introduction to Low Code Plugins in Dataverse

Low Code plugins are rapidly making their mark as a transformative feature within the Power Platform, offering a new frontier in rapid application development. Traditionally, creating plugins required a deep dive into .Net development, limiting this task to a more technical audience. Now, with the advent of Low Code plugins utilizing PowerFx, we're making plugin development accessible to a broader range of professionals. This session is designed to introduce Low Code Plugins, demonstrating how they can automate processes previously out of reach without .Net expertise, and will touch upon some current limitations. Perfect for business analysts, solution architects, and anyone eager to expand their toolkit within the Power Platform, our discussion will include practical examples, potential use cases, and a look ahead at the evolving capabilities of Low Code plugins. Join us to explore how you can harness the power of Low Code plugins to streamline your development process and unlock new possibilities.

Low Code Plugins: Guide for Pro Developers

In the rapidly evolving landscape of the Power Platform, Low Code plugins stand out as a significant innovation, bridging the gap between rapid development and the complex needs of professional developers. While traditionally the domain of .Net developers, the introduction of Low Code plugins offers a fresh perspective on plugin development, merging the simplicity of PowerFx with the robust demands of custom application development. This session is made for developers seeking to integrate Low Code plugins without compromising on technical precision. We will deep-dive into the architecture of Low Code plugins, how they fit into the existing ecosystem of traditional plugin development, potential conflicts with existing plugins, and best practices. Whether you’re looking to augment your development workflow, navigate the intricacies of integrating Low Code solutions, or just curious about the technical underpinnings of this new feature, this deep-dive session will equip you with the knowledge to leverage Low Code plugins effectively within your projects.
