Dr.-Ing. Akshay Paranjape is an AI and Machine Learning expert with over 9 years of experience developing and deploying AI solutions for manufacturing and industrial applications. He holds a Ph.D. in AI for Manufacturing from RWTH Aachen University, an M.Sc. in Simulation Sciences from RWTH Aachen, and a B.Tech. from IIT Delhi, India.

As the Founder and CEO of FuMind, Akshay is focused on solving one of manufacturing's biggest challenges: fragmented industrial data. Through AI-powered data integration, analytics, and intelligent automation, FuMind helps manufacturers optimize operations, reduce costs, and unlock actionable insights from complex production environments.

Throughout his career, Akshay has led multidisciplinary teams, managed industrial AI projects worth more than €700,000, and developed scalable AI platforms deployed across global manufacturing organizations. His expertise spans machine learning, reinforcement learning, computer vision, generative AI, industrial IoT, and cloud-native AI architectures.

Prior to founding FuMind, Akshay held leadership positions at IconPro, part of Hexagon and Elevait, where he spearheaded the development of predictive quality, process optimization, and intelligent document processing solutions. His research on AI-driven manufacturing optimization has been recognized internationally, including receiving the Best Paper Presentation Award at IARIA COLLA 2022.
