Akshay Roy is Co-Founder and CTO of Flotive AI, where he leads engineering on AI systems that automate permitting and compliance workflows for energy projects compressing timelines that once took months and helping critical infrastructure come online faster.

Before founding Flotive, Akshay spent nearly a decade in the physical AI and autonomy space, building robots and autonomous machines that had to make reliable decisions in the real world, where software errors have immediate physical consequences. As Team Lead at GPR, he led engineering for mapping, localization, and autonomous vehicle perception. At Vecna Robotics, he was part of the core technical autonomy team.

That foundation shipping AI in systems that couldn't afford to be wrong is the lens through which he now approaches deploying AI in regulated, high-consequence industries.

Akshay holds a Master's in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech.
