For over thirty years, Alan Varela has made family and business his top priorities. In 1991, he started his own business and has built his wealth from hard work and dedication to perfection. Born and raised in Punta Arenas, Chile, he came to the United States to study at Boston University and found his financial prospects challenged by the devaluation of the peso. He found work in construction to pay his tuition and would become a civil engineer.
