Alberto is a seasoned AI and ML leader with over 15 years of experience at the intersection of AI and data, spearheading large-scale AI innovation across finance, mobility, cybersecurity, and insurance. He was the CTO and Co-founder of Humn.ai, a pioneering InsurTech startup delivering real-time, ML-powered risk prediction for mobility. Under his technical leadership, Humn.ai scaled to Series B and was acquired by Aon in 2023.

Alberto most recently served as Director of Generative AI Engineering at Citi, where he built a production-grade GenAI platform with advanced RAG pipelines and AI agents used by over 25,000 employees daily. He currently leads AI at Trust3, driving trust for AI by leveraging innovative approaches to boosting accuracy, safety and security.

A hands-on architect, Alberto has designed and built low-latency, mission-critical ML systems, and is known for his expertise in systematically optimizing AI pipelines and agents using advanced evaluation techniques. He holds an MSc in AI and Machine Learning from Caltech and frequently speaks at global AI conferences, including ODSC and AIAI.
