ABOUT ME: At age 18, I was a semi-pro cyclist diagnosed with a ruptured spinal disc.
Over two years, severe back pain ended my cycling career, pulled me out of college, left me partially bedridden, on strong painkillers, depressed, and with suicidal thoughts.
I tried every treatment I could find, but still endured constant pain - my recovery was uncertain.
Thankfully, I've been pain-free and unrestricted for over a decade.
Yet here's the thing: That ruptured spinal disc is still visible on my MRI.
The pain wasn’t 'all in my head.' It was real, severe, and in my body.
But the problem wasn't my disc. And the solution wasn't to fix it.
I’m not alone, either. More people are learning that some of the best athletes in the world with nagging injuries and structural abnormalities like bulging discs, torn meniscuses, and torn rotator cuffs have become pain-free without fixing their bodies.
I'm an Injury Comeback Coach, and I demystify how to do this for my clients and my audiences, empowering them to break through pain and injury, perform with a competitive advantage, and feel like themselves again.
I've trained with renowned chronic pain specialists, sports medicine physicians, and psychologists from Cedars Sinai, Michigan State, and Wayne State.
I've helped Kona triathletes, state champion cyclists, marathon runners, actors, American Ninja Warriors, and those who just want to enjoy movement again get back to their favorite activities in the face of scary injuries and persistent pain.
I've travelled around the world to present for the better part of a decade - from San Francisco, to Dublin, and Paris to Hong Kong. I've shared my story with organizations all over the world such as Airbnb, Coca-Cola, Medable, PSL Group, Esusu and LinkedIn, been featured on over a dozen podcasts, written for publications like RealGM, and co-authored the 2024 Best-Selling Book Leading with Self-Awareness.
Seeing so many people who thought they’d never recover make amazing comebacks has revealed an unshakable truth: Your biggest setback can become your greatest comeback.

Starting Your Pain Free Comeback
A Workshop for Athletes and Active People with Persistent Pain
Millions are stuck in pain — despite clear MRIs, endless treatments, and no real answers.
In this powerful and paradigm-shifting workshop, former semi-pro cyclist and Pain Free Comeback co-founder Alec Kassin reveals what conventional medicine often overlooks: chronic pain isn’t always about injury — it’s about the brain’s danger signals getting stuck in overdrive.
Using real-world success stories, neuroscience-backed methods, and an empowering 3-pillar framework, Alec shows attendees how to rewire their brain’s pain response, reclaim their confidence, and start moving again without fear.
This is not “pain management.” This is a complete reset of what chronic pain is, where it comes from, and how to break free.
🔍 In this workshop, your audience will learn:
Why lingering pain often isn’t caused by structural damage
How trauma, stress, and fear condition the brain to keep pain alive
The 3 core pillars of the Pain Free Comeback Method
How world-class athletes have overcome chronic pain without surgery
Practical next steps to begin their own comeback—right now
This workshop is ideal for:
Athletes sidelined by unexplained or persistent injuries
Coaches, trainers, and healthcare providers seeking better recovery tools
Organizations looking to reduce time lost to pain, stress, and burnout
If your audience is tired of endless rehab, vague diagnoses, or being told to "just live with it," this workshop will feel like a lifeline and a launchpad.
They'll never see pain the same way again.
The Power of Your Brain: Moving from Fear to Empowerment
It's been said that what we think, we become. And it's the brain that makes that transformation possible. During our time together, we'll demystify the immense power of our brains with cutting-edge research, build thought-provoking awareness of the ways we unconsciously limit ourselves, and learn practical tools to feel empowered.
We'll build awareness and skills around recognizing the brain's power to create real physical changes in our bodies, understand its role in emotional creation and how we can influence the process, and learn how to change our perspective to change our experience. Whether it's a stressful sprint at work, a difficult situation with a partner, or getting your life unstuck, you'll see how the brain can either consciously help you or unconsciously hinder you.
This isn't a boring lecture about the structure of your brain. It's an engaging, practical roadmap for how to use it to wake up to your own power.
Relevant for any audience looking for an uplifting and empowering session
