The speaker has a PhD in Computer Science from MIT. After MIT he worked in a startup productionalizing his academic research in ML compilers. He then did research in high performance computing with the focus on ML workloads at Meta. Currently the speaker is a researcher and a team lead at Aptoslabs.
ThreadGarage: Parallel & Asynchronous Computation Library
ThreadGarage is a novel threading library that allows for asynchronous computation even when the underlying work in constrained to be synchronous (Rust async cannot be used). It is designed to be near plug-and-play replacement for standard parallel code, where some tasks might be suspended.
