I've been building things on the web since 2008. Started in agencies, moved to London, and spent almost a decade at Digital Detox growing from junior developer to Head of Engineering, until EY acquired us in 2022.

At EY I led a team of engineers through one of the hardest challenges in large organisations: building an engineering culture from scratch. Not just shipping code, but changing how people thought about quality, ownership, and craft.

After that came two years at Commerce Layer leading Developer Relations and Tech Partnerships, and then a bet on myself.

Now I run three parallel engagements: Head of Engineering at Fortivex, App Delivery Lead at Unomundi, and Technical Facilitator for the Agent Ecosystem at MACH Alliance.

I love the human side of engineering, mentoring, growing teams, making complex things simple. I can still write a mean JavaScript function, but these days I'd rather help someone else write a better one.

When I'm not thinking about systems and teams, I'm probably behind a drum kit, doing improv theatre, or going down an etymology rabbit hole.
