Alessandro La Volpe is CEO of IBM Italia, a position he has held since July 2024.
Previously, he was Vice President Worldwide IBM Sustainability Software Sales & SaaS Sales Leader, with responsibility for the software portfolio designed by IBM to help enterprises turn their sustainability strategies into action. At the same time, he also led SaaS sales across IBM's software portfolio.
La Volpe can boast ten years of international experience, in which he has played the roles of business leader responsible for customers for the SME market and the development of IBM's ecosystem for Europe.
During his career at IBM, he has held roles of increasing responsibility in our country, from sales to large customers, to the hardware business up to becoming Vice President of the Cloud & Software division and, subsequently, of the Technology division.
He opened the first IBM business accelerator in Israel and managed the development programs of start-ups in Europe. In 2019 he brought the IBM Garage to Italy, part of the international network of centers dedicated to digital transformation paths for companies of all sectors and sizes.
Since the academic year 2018/2019 he has been an adjunct professor at MIBE, Department of Economics and Management of the University of Pavia, where he is currently a lecturer in "Transformative Innovation".
Graduated in Economics and Business from the Catholic University of Milan, he holds an MBA from Henley Management College and obtained professional certification from INSEAD.
