Alex Tait is a software developer at one of Canada's top consultancies, Rangle.io. She is obsessed with applying design thinking to the development process and having a wholistic view to the products she is building. She co-lead's the company's a11y guild where they are developing best practices and guidelines for accessibility. She is also a member of the UI architecture team, a group who's mission is to bridge the gap between development and design in order to leverage the dev team's technical abilities to support the vision of the design team with a focus on design systems.

Before getting into tech she was a musician/band leader and did some fun things like touring in Japan (where she had songs chart in the top 40). She brings a unique vantage point to her career in software from lessons learned in the hard-knocks music industry.
