The 1600 Day Streak: Language Learning, Product Building, and the Power of Persistence
Have you heard of Duolingo? Have you managed to keep your daily streak strong? How about for 1600 days? This talk explores the surprising parallels between language learning and product building. All in the context of shaping and creating a product content framework for technical products and platforms and the 1600 day journey that shaped it so far.
We'll delve into the importance of consistency, incremental progress, and effective feedback. We'll then discuss how these principles can be applied to the creation of a robust content framework, toolkit and its components. This framework will empower your teams to communicate clearly and effectively, onboard new customers efficiently, and ultimately drive product success and adoption.

Whether you're seeking to improve your work habits or striving for personal growth, this talk will provide you with the tools and insights needed to thrive in a distraction-filled environment.
The structure of the workshop will be:
Describing what is deep work and how it's different from flow, what is the cost of distractions and chaos, how to do deep work
Then we'll move onto specific strategies and tactics that I've tried and that others recommend, specifically, calendar blocking and calendar zero, the 3-3-3 method of limiting goals, combining these
Finally, for the super busy folks, one technique that could help without the discipline and time commitment of the other frameworks, using momentum to maximize all the small blocks of time you can muster in a day to still achieve your goals and do deep work in small sprints.
Finally finishing with a challenge for the audience to try to block 10 minutes at the end or beginning of their next day to bring some focus and time for Deep Work in the next week and experiment, taking it from there and learning what does and doesn't work.

So, what did we learn, and how did we do it?
In this talk, Alex will take you through the then and now journey of how product docs evolve, how the community and customers contributed to the changes and how you can do it too!
