With a career spanning twenty-four years in elementary and middle school education, Alexis O’Flaherty brings a wealth of expertise to her role as the Program Specialist for Student Services at the San Mateo-Foster City School District. Her extensive background includes classroom teaching, several years as a site Principal, and as the Director of Human Resources.
In her current capacity as the Program Specialist for the Student Services Department, Alexis plays a crucial role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment in the San Mateo- Foster City School District. Her commitment to creating a welcoming and safe space for students to thrive is evident in her daily efforts.

Alexis collaboratively leads school counselors, site mental health clinicians, Restorative Practices teachers on special assignment (ToSA), and the LGBTQ+ counselor on special assignment (CoSA). Her strategic guidance ensures a comprehensive and supportive framework for the district's diverse student body. Alexis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development from California-State Sacramento, a Multiple Subject Teaching credential, and a Master of Arts in School Administration from Notre Dame de Namur University.
