Problem solving through Dialogue

This topic is one that Ive been running a workshop around but will be the first time that I'm giving the talk. This talk will focus on how "Dialectical behaviour therapy" parallels the double diamond problem-solving technique and the agile methodology.

Note i will not try to explain the methodologies but instead draw on real-life examples and show how they relate to how we solve problems.

Ill also cover the basics of how you can start using these techniques in your daily life, with friends colleagues or family

Why Effective Mentorship requires A Personal development program

Building on top of the research Presented @ TEDx Pretoria, im hoping to share my learnings about how Mentorship can be the turn key factor to the evolution of the tech industry, and the secrete to solving the challenges faced in tertiary education.

How i will make this case:
- An exploration into the origins of human developmental relationships compared to modern ones.
- A few core psychological concepts that govern mentorship relationships (eg. Zone of proximal development)
- An example of a company that is running this mentorship program hand in hand with self-directed learning.
- 3 Take aways to immediately begin improving as a mentor.
