Zero to Scale: Engineering Production-Grade Autoscaling on AKS
What if your Kubernetes platform could automatically respond to
workload demand, scale applications from zero to multiple replicas,
and provision additional infrastructure—all without manual
intervention?
In this hands-on session, we'll explore how KEDA, HPA, and Karpenter
enable intelligent, demand-driven autoscaling on Azure Kubernetes
Service (AKS).
Moving beyond traditional CPU and memory-based scaling, we'll
demonstrate how to build a custom Node.js Metrics API, configure KEDA
to react to real-time metrics, and automatically scale application
workloads from 0 to 10 replicas and back to zero.
We'll also explore how Karpenter addresses infrastructure capacity
when existing Kubernetes nodes can no longer accommodate additional
pods.
