Drasi: A New Take on Change-driven Architectures

Modern cloud-native systems constantly generate data changes, and applications often need to react to them. Building change-driven solutions that respond to specific changes in distributed data is challenging. This talk introduces Drasi, a CNCF Sandbox project that simplifies the design and implementation of change-driven architectures by codifying continuous query and reaction patterns. For example, with Drasi you can declaratively write automation to detect and respond to running containers with newly identified vulnerabilities across pods and deployments in a Kubernetes cluster. Join us for a walkthrough of real-world use cases and live demos that show how Drasi’s approach brings structure and responsiveness to complex distributed environments—without writing custom code.

Change-driven AI agents with Drasi and LangChain

Drasi is a change‑detection platform for databases that enables reactive, change‑driven AI agents. The LangChain‑Drasi integration connects real‑time data changes to agent workflows using continuous queries. Agents can discover and subscribe to changes, update state and memory, and adapt execution - turning static agents into long‑lived, responsive systems.

Drasi - Microsoft Developer

Co-presented Drasi at Open @ Microsoft Podcast.

Drasi is a new data processing system that simplifies detecting critical events within complex infrastructures and taking immediate action tuned to business objectives. Developers and software architects can leverage its capabilities across event-driven scenarios, whether working on Internet of Things (IoT) integrations, enhancing security protocols, or managing sophisticated applications.

A new take on Change Driven Architectures

The Building change-driven solutions that respond to specific changes in distributed data is
challenging. This talk introduces Drasi, a CNCF project that simplifies the design and implementation of change-driven architectures using Graph Queries and pluggable components. We see how Drasi can help you build real-time RAG pipelines on structured data sources, and another demo shows how to get alerted on slack when vulnerable container images get deployed in your Kubernetes cluster.

Presented on May 14th 2026 at Cloud Native PDX - the official CNCF Community Group for Portland area - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QttaAjred44

Drasi: React in real-time to changes happening in Distributed Systems

We will explore how Drasi lets us express sophisticated change detection logic using Graph queries that span data in PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, Kubernetes, and other sources simultaneously—without writing custom streaming code. Aman, a Principal Engineer in the Azure CTO’s office at Microsoft, will walk through real scenarios (from detecting security vulnerabilities in K8s deployments to building real-time RAG pipelines on structured data for modern LLM-based agents, and optimizing curbside pickup scenarios).

This will be a technical deep dive with demos, covering both the conceptual framework and practical implementation patterns.
