One API to Rule Them All: Building a Unified Platform with Kubernetes Aggregation API Layer

In this talk, I’ll share how we intIn this talk, I will share how we integrated multiple open-source technologies into a single product by creating a unified, general-use API for them.

Key Points:
- The way to unification: Platforms, Aggregation API - how it works and why it's useful.
- Operators are disparate, Helm does not provide full lifecycle management. You can take the best of both worlds.
- How we created a universal API and UI that work the same for any application managed by various operators.

The Cozystack way: a dynamically extendable Aggregation API server in Kubernetes that translates dynamically registered custom types into other Kubernetes resources - no one has done this before!

A practical example of a billing system with native Kubernetes API interface, that generates responses from prometheus in real time.

Join this session to learn how we are developing an open-source cloud platform and framework based on Kubernetes. Insights from a Cozystack core maintainer.

Reconciliation loop pattern in visual representation

An easy and visual explanation that demonstrates what happens when you create a new pod in Kubernetes. It shows how the apiserver, scheduler, controller-manager, and kubelet work together, operating on the same Kubernetes resource.

Kubernetes is the new Skynet, or: the rise of Kubernetes automation

Kubernetes is widely known for being the container orchestration tool, and lately being the orchestrator of "everything", such as external resources thanks to Crossplane, Databases with popular operators, and beyond.
What if we had a Platform able to operate and pilot itself, with a fraction of human-based operations?
In this talk, Andrei and Dario's knowledge and developer experience will shed light on the tools being able to execute complex tasks such as installing Kubernetes on bare metal servers (Talos Linux), tools being able to satisfy all the complex conditions of orchestrating Virtual Machines (KubeVirt), till to operate Kubernetes clusters at large scale (Cluster API, Kamaji).
