Hello world! My name is Andy O’Donnell (he/him). Little bit about me, I currently work in a team that oversees the governance of the Power Platform for Amey Plc.
Before that I was a BI Developer at the same organisation for 3 years, working with Power BI on-premise (SQL, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, etc).
A little bit about me personally, the things I like most in the world are pretty much in that picture; sun, beer and my dog. Also a big football/soccer fan and a bit of a gamer on the side.

Get Yourself Something That Can Do Both - Extending the CoE Starter Kit Reports!
So everyone knows just how great the Centre of Excellence (CoE) Starter Kit is, especially the reporting side of it... However what's even greater is taking the tables behind the standard reports and using them to create your very own reports that can answer any past, present and future questions you may have about your Power Platform tenant! In this demonstrative session, I will show you just a few examples of how powerful extending the CoE reports can be, with each demonstration being even cooler than the last! I am responsible for managing the COE in our organisation, Amey UK Ltd; I am sharing practical advice based on my experience of governing Power Platform in a 11,000 person company.
First I will be showing you how the tables behind the COE reports can be used to answer some fundamental questions about apps and flows in the business. Such as how many orphaned apps are in the tenant? How many apps/flows are compliant? Just how much of a mess is our default environment?
Next is I will show you how you can use sources such as Microsoft Graph to answer some more complex questions - such as details of licences and licence usage and how optimising this could be beneficial for the organization!
Finally we will see how some mundane tasks such as quarantining Power Apps can be made so much easier. Instead of going app by app, what if there was a way to do a bunch at once, using visualisations in Power BI to help you do so?
This session will show you how all three of these scenarios can be handled, and how you can take big steps forward on your way to extending your Power Platform reporting capabilities. The CoE Starter Report reports are great, however being able to extend them is also great - so why not get something that can do both?
