I'm a Hardware Engineer II at Medtronic's Neuromodulation Operating Unit (Core R&D), where I design embedded hardware for implantable devices that stimulate the nervous system. Before Medtronic, I built neuromodulation hardware at Nevro Corp. I hold a Master's in Embedded Systems from CU Boulder.
Most of my work lives in the messy middle; low-power analog and digital design, BLE and wireless protocols, and the hardware-firmware boundary where safety-critical systems either hold up or fall apart. I have a pending patent in the space and contribute to IEEE venues including TBioCAS, TBME, and EMBC.
I talk about what it actually takes to ship hardware in regulated industries.
