GO See The City, CEO, Founder
Actions
Aneshai Smith is a visionary entrepreneur with a passion for sustainability and small businesses. Prior to the pandemic, Aneshai launched a highly successful grand opening business that assisted businesses of all sizes with planning, organizing, and marketing their grand openings. With each grand opening that her company orchestrated, her clients experienced their highest revenue day ever.
When the pandemic struck and forced many businesses to close their doors, Aneshai took swift action to assist struggling restaurants. With grand opening events no longer an option, she pivoted her company to offer themed food tours that showcased a variety of restaurants each month, with a special emphasis on Black-owned and Women-owned establishments. By doing so, she aimed to increase foot traffic and support these businesses which were closing at a rapid rate.
Aneshai's success with the pivot led her to the BETA launch of Go See The City in November 2022, a food waste reduction platform that connects surplus food from restaurants to consumers and nonprofits. GO See The City includes a mobile app and a dashboard that provides real-time insights to municipalities and restaurants, allowing for data-informed decision-making. The platform was created to be a catalyst to assist the USDA and EPA in reducing food waste by 50% by 2030. GO See The City has secured government contracts to collaborate directly with cities, aiding restaurants in their efforts to minimize food waste. Additionally, we educate residents and tourists on how they can contribute to this cause.
GO See The City has been recognized by notable accelerators such as TechCrunch Include and Leading Cities, which is a top 5 GovTech accelerator in the world. Aneshai's incredible achievements as a bootstrapped and solo founder are what make her truly exceptional. Her dynamic personality and captivating presentations have made her a highly sought-after and inspiring speaker.
