Anthony Mendonca is a cybersecurity consultant focused on detection engineering, SIEM optimization and purple team engagements. His work centres on improving detection quality in complex, highly regulated environments by applying engineering discipline to security monitoring and alerting.
Anthony, has hands-on experience working on large-scale SIEM optimization and detection uplift programs, where has helped teams reduce noise, prioritize high-risk behaviours and build sustainable detection engineering processes. He is particularly interested in bridging the gap between SOC operations and modern detection engineering practices, and in helping early-career practitioners build strong detection fundamentals. He holds a number of cybersecurity certifications such as the GPEN, GWEB, GSOC, Certified DevSecOps Professional and the CompTIA Security+.
