Dataverse as a governance tool and not just for data!

You think Dataverse is just for data, right? WRONG! We will run through just why you need Dataverse in your organization. Come and witness a demo-rich session where we will show you some of what goes on under the hood of the Power Platform. This is going to get INTENSE!

How:
How to use Dataverse as a governance tool for your Power Platform.

What:
Important considerations of how Dataverse can be used to secure pats of Power Platform. A mix of theory and demo-rich content.

Why:
Power Platform needs to be governed efficiently so that low-code app and solution building is secure on Power Platform. Basic building blocks of governance need to be in place for an efficient use of the platform.

This session is delivered by Chris Huntingford (Avanade) and Antti Pajunen (Forward Forever).

Building Project Operations PoCs with Power Automate

The Project Operations data model is difficult. While a ProjOps consultant should know its data model well, a developer working on a plethora of different D365 1st party apps might not know how the ProjOps data model works and what the do's and don'ts are. Functional consultants can leverage Power Automate to build PoCs for more complex customizations in ways that weren't possible not long ago.

This session will walk you through three PoC scenarios that leverage Power Automate, and it will leave you with knowledge of important considerations on what kinds of scenarios should only be conceptualized with Power Automate, and what should be done in code. You will learn what can and should be implemented in Power Automate vs. what should only be conceptualized as a PoC, and left for developers to build in code.

How:
How to build complex PoCs in Project Operations with Power Automate.

What:
Theory on important considerations around the event framework and the schedule APIs, as well as in building complex logic with Power Automate. Demo of three different PoC scenarios.

Why:
Create value as a functional consultant and implement PoCs that don't depend on code. Learn about the pitfalls of the Project schedule APIs and the importance of transactional consistency.

Functional consultants, solution architects.

From Project Service Automation to Project Operations - What, why, for whom, and how?

Project Service Automation has evolved into Project Operations but there's ambiguity about the application's industry fit, its current and future capabilities as well as about its role in the business applications ecosystem. In this session we'll look at what Project Operations is, why it's used, what its place is the biz apps ecosystem, for which industries its for, and how organizations can start leveraging it, whether they're upgrading from PSA or starting fresh.

Project budget management in D365 Project Operations Lite

Project budget management allows PMs to create project budgets to track estimated costs on projects. A budget is a point-in-time snapshot that tells PMs what the spend on a project is, based on the dimensions of project budget lines.

This session will walk you through project budget management's core concept and the important details that must be set right on budget lines, matching priorities, and price lists for project budget management to deliver expected results. You will learn what project budget management is, and what different variables have to be considered in project budget management.

How:
How to configure project budget management and create accurate project budgets.

What:
Understand the different variables that need to be set right for project budget management to work, learn how to create project budgets, understand where the project management feature is currently, and what the feature's future looks like.

Why:
Project budgets play a key role in a PMs daily work when they manage projects. Evaluating and tracking costs becomes easier with project budget management.

First delivery at Dynamics 365 Bootcamp in June in Brussels.
