April is the owner and operator of a children’s process art and play studio called The Art Factory.

April provides children and families opportunities to get messy, use their imaginations, and explore the creative process.

April is from Blacksburg, Va and attended Virginia Tech were she received masters in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, and Curriculum and Instruction.

Her goal is to create an engaging space for kids to lose themselves in play, explore beautiful materials, and become uninhibited creators! April believes that art and sensory experiences are the height of play!

A local educator for over 20 years, April is able to use her classroom experience with children and families, her years of study and implementation of Reggio Emilia pedagogy, and her passion for creativity and play to help spread the word about the importance of art and sensory play! Truly a dream come true!
