April Thomas is zealous about helping organizations improve. With roots as a healthcare Social Worker and experience in healthcare, higher education, social service, non-profits and manufacturing, she brings a blend of human-centered leadership and organizational excellence.

Driven by her belief in people and their potential, April bridges behavioral and social sciences with quality and continuous improvement, using Lean and Six Sigma principles to spark meaningful, lasting organizational change. She specializes in leadership development, patient and customer centered experience design, strategic planning, and creating cultures of excellence. April holds advanced degrees in Social Work, Organizational Behavior, and Strategic Management. She’s a NAHQ Certified Healthcare Quality Professional, ASQ-Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Grief Educator, and Mental Health First Aid Instructor. She has over 15 years of board service with nonprofits. Her passion project is helping people build their skills for conversations related to grief, loss and mental health. April is a thought leader and speaker on Grief Informed Leadership. She has been a podcast guest, conference presenter, workshop presenter, keynote speaker and emcee.
