Avantika Mathur is a researcher and knowledge mobilization specialist focused on intuitive interspecies communication (IIC) and its role in bridging the human-nature divide. She coordinated the International Multispecies Methods Research Symposium in 2022 and 2023 and is currently completing a research fellowship at the University of Saskatchewan's School of Environment and Sustainability, focusing on the lived experience of IIC.

She is a co-editor of Intuitive Interspecies Communication and Multispecies Ethnography: Re-searching Dialogue and Knowledge beyond the Human. This is a special issue in the Journal of Organizational Ethnography aiming to address the implications of IIC for organized groups and practices.

Avantika holds a BSc in Health Studies from the University of Waterloo and an MSc in Global Health from McMaster University. She co-hosts the podcast Animals & Us - Voices of a New Paradigm, which discusses animal consciousness and explores human-animal relationships. In her role leading research and content development at an international corporate training company, she connects business ethics and corporate responsibility to climate change, sustainability, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues.
