Ayodele Harrison is a facilitative leadership coach and racial equity practitioner. He has over 2 decades experience, teaching and leading in K-12 schools (public, private and international), as well as in teacher preparation program administration in at the university level.

Ayodele is currently serves as Senior Partner at CommunityBuild Ventures (CBV) - a pro-Black solutions focused firm committed to eliminating racial disparities by developing powerful, impactful racial equity driven leaders and organizations. CBV partners with foundations, institutions and organizations to facilitate transformation grounded in racial equity and healing justice.

As Senior Partner, Ayodele leads CBV's signature leadership development initiative entitled Black Male Educators Talk (BMEsTalk). Ayodele designs and facilitates cohort-based training programs to help Black Male Educators (BMEs) to strengthen their adult leadership skills to accelerate student learning. BMEsTalk programming is designed and led by Black men for Black men to explore identity, challenge cultural stigma and reclaim masculinity to unlock greater leadership potential within.

Elevating SEL in Black Male Educators: A Community Partnership Approach

Due to cultural stigma and masculinity norms, it can be difficult for Black male educators to consistently practice and promote social and emotional well-being in the workplace. School and district leaders will learn how to leverage external partnerships (local and national) to elevate the self-awareness and emotional intelligence of Black men to increase retention and improve outcomes for students.
