Women & Allies in Low Code Panel

This panel discussion focuses on Women and Allies in Low Code, shedding light on the experiences, contributions, and challenges women and their allies face in the low-code development space. Hosted by Emma Cooper, Principal PM, Power Apps, and April Dunnam, Principal Cloud Advocate. Join us as we explore how diversity, inclusivity, and collaboration can drive innovation and empower individuals to create impactful solutions using low-code platforms. Through diverse perspectives from Microsoft and the Community, this panel aims to inspire and foster an inclusive environment for all participants in the low-code community.

Why You Should be a Mentor

Mentorship can be the difference between going far, and going farther - wherever you are in life.

The greater Microsoft community has been an invaluable asset to many of us and by developing relationships with those around us, we've been able to receive guidance and support to reach our professional goals. On the other side, giving back via mentorship can be an incredibly rewarding experience.

This session will provide guidance for aspiring (or aspiring curious) mentors on why mentorship is important, the keys to successful relationships, navigating the challenges of said relationships, and personal anecdotes from the presenters who started where you are today.

Humans in IT Unite! A Panel on the Power of Allyship, Authenticity and Lifting Others Up

The path to a career in technology can be a beeline or a more meandering road. The tech industry is more diverse than ever, but there’s always more work to be done.

Our community and Microsoft panelists will talk about that person, place, or thing that helped them most in their careers, what allyship means to each of them, examples of where rising tides lift all boats, and what advice our panelists have on finding mentorship and community with others in the industry.

Each panelist will also share their origin story pre-Power Platform/pre-tech. Join moderator Heather Newman and our awesome panelists for some nuggets of inspiration, story sharing, and some homework.
