B Krishnan Iyer is currently pursuing his Bachelors in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. He has been of AV1 and dav1d development community for the past 6+ Months. He has completed Google Summer of Code 2019 with VideoLAN for “dav1d ARM NEON optimization” where he implemented dav1d functions into ARM assembly using NEON SIMD for both ARM and AArch64. He has worked with SBCs and with Microcontrollers, TI’s C6000 and C2000 processors and wrote C-callable assembly functions. He has also Completed Google Summer of Code 2018 with Haiku Inc. where he developed SDHCI MMC driver for Haiku OS.
He is also a technical mentor at amFOSS, India's Leading free and Open Source Club, where he is also responsible for the whole management of the club, public relations and many more for the past 3+ years.
