Katja Römer is a trained graphic designer and photographer and is currently studying in the dual degree Midwifery B. Sc. at the katho NRW University in Cologne, with a practice partner in Bensberg, the Vinzenz Pallotti Hospital. Her academic career to date has focused on combining evidence-based knowledge with everyday midwifery practice. Among other things, she is committed to prejudice-conscious thinking and action, as well as transculturality and diversity in obstetrics.
Katja is working with Lea Apitz (founder of the new hebammenwiki) to develop the corporate design of the hebammenwiki and will continue to be involved in the process optimization of the hebammenwiki in the future.
Katja Römer ist gelernte Grafiker:in sowie Fotograf:in und studiert aktuell in dem dualen Studiengang Angewandte Hebammenwissenschaften B. Sc. an der Hochschule katho NRW in Köln, mit Praxispartner in Bensberg, dem Vinzenz Pallotti Hospital. Die bisherigen Schwerpunkte deren akademischen Laufbahn beziehen sich auf die Verbindung von evidenzbasiertem Wissen und dem Alltag in der Hebammenarbeit. Sie beschäftigt sich unter anderem für vorurteilsbewusstes Denken und Handeln, wie auch Transkulturalität sowie Diversität in der Geburtshilfe ein.
Katja arbeitet, mit Lea Apitz (Gründerin des neuen hebammenwiki), daran das Corporate Design des hebammenwiki’s zu entwickeln und soll zukünftig auch weiterhin in die Prozessoptimierung des hebammenwiki’s eingebunden werden.
