Uncomplicating ArgoCD: An Interactive Workshop for Beginners

This hands-on workshop is designed for those starting their journey with ArgoCD. ArgoCD is a crucial tool, especially for those working with Kubernetes and other CNCF projects. Throughout the session, we will cover everything from basic ArgoCD concepts to creating and deploying an Application in a Kubernetes cluster.

This is not just an expository workshop but also an interactive one. We are setting up an environment where all participants will be able to follow the class and replicate all the steps we will be performing. Our mission is to practically show the full potential of ArgoCD and demystify its use for everyone.

Transforming Lives Through Kubernetes: Inclusive Education and Opportunities in the Cloud Native Era

This presentation will focus on our community's journey to bring knowledge of cutting-edge technologies such as Kubernetes, Cloud, and Linux to peripheral communities and minorities. We have implemented some of the largest free educational programs in the world focusing on Kubernetes, AWS, Oracle, and LPI certifications. All these programs were broadcasted for free on YouTube or Twitch.

In addition, we have launched various training programs in Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, Terraform, Ansible, Nomad, Linux, Prometheus, and ArgoCD, among others, with a particular focus on women, black people, trans people, and other minorities. All the trainings are free for the participants and come with a completion certificate.

Today, we have success stories of individuals who have left the poverty line to work in large companies, changing their lives and those of their families. We have graduates from our programs working in several countries, and most likely even participating in this conference.

"Platform Engineering: Delivering Infrastructure as a Product with Terraform"

Digital transformation is in full swing, and the need to deliver infrastructure efficiently and standardized has never been greater. This talk explores where Platform Engineering and Infrastructure as Code intersect, using Terraform to turn infrastructure into a product. We'll discuss the importance of Terraform modules in standardizing and improving the acceptance of the products we deliver to developers. We'll highlight how building modules allows you to create an infrastructure product catalog using apps like Backstage or Gaia, to facilitate developers' discovery and consumption of these modules. Additionally, we'll look at use cases and best practices for implementing this strategy in your environment.

The Future of AI is Open: Exploring Open Source Language Models with Ollama and Kubernetes

In this talk, we'll delve into how we can utilize open source Artificial Intelligence, with a special focus on large language models (LLMs). We'll explore how Ollama, an innovative platform, simplifies running and experimenting with these powerful models, like Llama 3, directly on your own computer or on scalable clusters with Kubernetes.

Key Topics:
- The Open Source AI Revolution: Understand why open source is democratizing access to AI and accelerating innovation.
- The Power of Ollama: Discover how Ollama streamlines the installation, configuration, and execution of LLMs, removing technical barriers.
- From Your Computer to Kubernetes: Learn to scale your LLM experiments using Docker for local development and Kubernetes for production deployment.
- Hands-on Demo: Learn how to use Ollama in your Kubernetes cluster to test various AI models in a practical way!

Target Audience:
Developers, machine learning engineers, AI enthusiasts, and anyone interested in exploring the potential of open source AI.

Prerequisites:
Basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is recommended, but not required.

OpenSource LLMs on Your Desktop with Ollama and Docker

Have you ever imagined having the power of artificial intelligence running directly on your computer? In this talk, we'll demystify the world of Large Language Models (LLMs) and show you how easy it is to use them on your own desktop, without the need for supercomputers or advanced technical knowledge.

What you will learn:

- What are LLMs and why they are important: Understand the basics of language models, how they work, and the incredible applications they make possible.
- Ollama: Discover how Ollama simplifies the process of installing, configuring, and running LLMs, like Llama 3, in your own environment, eliminating technical complexities.
- Docker: Learn how to use Docker to create an isolated and secure environment for your LLM experiments, ensuring everything runs smoothly, regardless of your operating system.
- Hands-On Practice: Participate in practical demonstrations and see how easy it is to use LLMs directly from your own computer.
- Improving Models: Explore the various possibilities for customizing and fine-tuning models to meet your specific needs.

Who is this talk for:
This talk is perfect for you if you're curious about AI but feel intimidated by the technical complexity. Whether you're a developer, student, creative professional, or simply someone interested in exploring the potential of AI,
