Setting up Local Environments with Docker, Skaffold and kind

This session is about setting up a Local environment, that deploy Developer’s code changes to a local K8S cluster in real time. This production-like local environment allow developers to detect problems in the earliest stage of development. Docker, Skaffold and kind maybe combined to achieve this.

Using Azure DevOps to deploy ANY Cloud

The talk is about how well Azure DevOps is integrated with other cloud providers and why you must consider it irrespective of your cloud provider.

The topics includes:

1. IAC concepts and using them with Azure DevOps.
2. Using Azure DevOps to deploy applications to VMs (Azure, On-Premise, other cloud).
3. Using Azure DevOps to deploy Kubernetes Clusters (Azure, On-Premise and other Cloud)

The session will also contain quick demos to demonstrate the pipeline outputs for easy understanding.

The talk is about shifting the security to left and enable developers to handle the security themselves.

The talk is about automating security checks as you write the code and get the feedback in minutes. It includes below topics.

Code Security through static code analysis
Checking the Application dependencies and OS libraries for common vulnerabilities and exposures.
Container Security
Runtime security

The session will have a demo which demonstrate an automated security workflow that verifies security after developer made a code change.

Infrastructure and Configurations as Code

Terraform can build the cloud infrastructure (Eg: AWS) and tag the resources. These Tags will be used as the single source of truth to identify the machines. These tags are later consumed by your deployment tools, configuration tools etc.

A demo will be included, which uses tools Terraform, Ansible and Jenkins.
