Building for Automotive OS & Android Auto

Android Automotive and Auto offers openness, customization, and scale to automotive infotainment systems and head units. Openness enables new efficiencies by providing basic automotive infotainment features in a free and open source codebase. In this session we will talk about being able to extend your App functionality to support Android Automotive OS and Android Auto.

Basic understanding of How and Android Native or Flutter works

Deal with process death like a pro in Mobile Apps

Any Android app could lose its UI state due to activity or process recreation. This loss of state can occur due to events such as Configuration changes (The activity is destroyed and recreated unless the configuration change is handled manually) or System-initiated process death -The app is in the background and the device frees up resources (like memory) to be used by other processes. In this session we will learn how to handle process death in Android, being able to remain user activity even after the app was killed in the background by the system.

Flutter state persistence with Hydrated Bloc

In this session we will have a talk and a hands-on workshop on how to automatically restore your app state with data from where you left like a pro. Hydrated Bloc is an extension to the bloc state management library which automatically persists and restores bloc and Cubit states. You don't have to set up models or local data logic to implement this, but just extend it to your existing Bloc implementation. This saves you more time and effort, because it does it all for you.
