Benson Tillya is a conservation leader and digital innovation advocate dedicated to restoring Africa’s ecosystems through technology-driven solutions. As the Conservation Manager at Saving Africa’s Nature (SANA), he spearheads large-scale reforestation and mangrove restoration projects in Tanzania, integrating data-driven approaches for impact measurement and carbon credit certification.

Benson has been instrumental in establishing one of Tanzania’s first native seed banks, ensuring a sustainable supply of indigenous trees for ecological restoration. His expertise lies in using GIS, AI-powered monitoring, and digital verification tools to enhance the efficiency and transparency of conservation efforts.

His work extends beyond restoration—he is passionate about empowering rural communities with digital access and environmental education. Through collaborations with local and international organizations, Benson advocates for inclusive conservation models that align ecological health with economic resilience.
