I've been a software developer since 2015, specializing in systems modeling and design, working mainly as a backend on projects although I have fullstack skills. I'm an opensource maintainer and contributor in the PHP ecosystem (Symfony framework), interested in data science and artificial intelligence.

I'm also the founder and leader of the Devscast community, the Google Developer Student Club Lead at Université Nouveaux Horizons (2022-2023), and zindi.africa Ambassador for the DRC (2022-2024).

my goal in communities has always been to make an impact; to push back the limits of what we're capable of building, to change the world's perception of African and Congolese developers in particular, through a variety of community activities.I've been a software developer since 2015, specializing in systems modeling and design, working mainly as a backend on projects although I have fullstack skills.

Machine Learning For Developers

Machine learning is a rapidly growing field that has revolutionized the way we interact with technology. It has become an essential tool for developers who want to create intelligent applications that can learn and adapt to user behavior. In this talk, we will explore the basics of machine learning and how it can be used to build intelligent applications. We will cover topics such as supervised and unsupervised learning, neural networks, deep learning, and more. By the end of this talk, you will have a solid understanding of the fundamentals of machine learning and how it can be applied to real-world problems.

Introduction to NLP

Natural Language Processing (NLP) is a subfield of computer science and artificial intelligence that deals with the interaction between computers and human languages. The primary goal of NLP is to enable computers to understand, interpret, and generate natural language, the way humans do 12. In this talk, we will explore the basics of NLP and its applications. We will cover topics such as syntactic and semantic analysis, speech recognition, natural language understanding, natural language generation, and more. We will also discuss how NLP has benefited from recent advances in machine learning, especially from deep learning techniques 1. By the end of this talk, you will have a solid understanding of the fundamentals of NLP and how it can be applied to real-world problems.

Overcoming the Technical Divide: Challenges faced by Central Africa Tech Communities

In Central Africa, the digital divide is a significant challenge to economic and social development. Only a small fraction of the population has access to reliable and affordable internet, and even fewer have the skills and knowledge to use it effectively. This leaves many people behind, unable to participate fully in the digital economy and society.

This talk will explore the challenges faced by Central Africa tech communities in overcoming the digital divide. It will discuss the root causes of the problem, as well as the various initiatives underway to address it. The talk will also highlight the opportunities that lie ahead for Central Africa's tech sector, and the role that the international community can play in supporting its development.

This talk is intended for a broad audience interested in the digital divide, tech development in Central Africa, and international development. It will be of particular interest to policymakers, practitioners, and researchers working in these areas. preferred session duration 45min-60min
