I joined the Royal Air Force at 20 and served for 8 years as a Communication Engineer, during this time I completed multiple tours of duty including Afghanistan and supporting the conflict in Libya as well as some more sunnier countries during peace time.

I was part of a team that would deploy anywhere in the world and have voice and data set up within 6 hours. Carrying out a similar function to a Network Engineer in the civilian world.

After I left the RAF I worked as a Network Engineer for a civilian company supporting military naval vessels with voice and data capabilities while deployed and at home in the UK.

Next I joined CGI and found myself working in the cloud, teaching myself all about Microsoft Azure and how to write JSON, eventually moving to Terraform as our chosen deployment language. I enjoyed cloud computing so much I decided to specialize in it, and I now work for Fujitsu as a Lead Technical Architect.

As well as my IT career I have also have a love for fitness and boxing, starting at 10 years old and having 35 fights, eventually being chosen for an England Select Vs Wales as the highlight of my sporting experience.

With that passion for fitness also comes a desire to know the science behind how the body works and more recently how the mind works, this led me to setting up my own Fitness, Nutrition and sports psychology coaching business as a hobby.

I have been fortunate to work with Professional boxers, a world champion powerlifter and provided wellness sessions to large brands like Hugo Boss and Colliers.

I am particularly passionate about promoting positive mental health after having my own challenges and overcoming them, I discovered that focusing on kindness, empathy and self-awareness is a superpower and not a sign of weakness, and I believe a greater tool for success than just focusing on technical skills.
