Bob Hoyt, MD, FACP, FAMIA, ABPM-CI, is an internal medicine physician with experience in private practice, military medicine, data science, and research. He serves as an associate clinical professor of internal medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University and a visiting professor at the University of Virginia. Dr. Hoyt has authored more than three dozen peer-reviewed publications and four textbooks—including No Code Data Science (2023)—and serves as a reviewer for eight medical and one AI-focused journal. A long-standing advocate for clinician data literacy, he has led numerous free workshops on data science and machine learning using Orange Data Mining. For the past five years, he has been core faculty for the American Board of AI in Medicine’s monthly review courses and currently serves on the board of the Medical Intelligence Society. He is developing a free, self-paced “Data Literacy for Clinicians” course that reflects his passion for making AI and data science accessible to busy healthcare professionals through a no-code approach.
