My name is Brian Arfmann and I am passionate about catalyzing positive change in the lives of the poor or misrepresented. I derive my mantra from the song "Hero" by Skillet. I'm convicted to fight for the good and inspire hope in otherwise bleak situations. This passion inspired me to join Mercy Ships. After a brief career in professional road cycling, I was a Technical Recruiter for the country's largest IT Staffing & Services firm, TEKsystems, part of Allegis Group. I recruited top IT talent for some of the world's largest entertainment clients such as Disney, Snapchat, NBC Universal, Activision Gaming, etc. After performing missionary work in Southeastern India earlier this year, I decided to exit the corporate space and utilize my recruiting skills built over the years to connect and unite others by doing good in the world through Mercy Ships. I am now the General Recruiter and connect volunteers to opportunities of a life time.
