Having a background from Finance, Supply Chain and Procurement I have spent the last 15 years helping organizations translating their business requirements into supporting systems, processes and data.
Through that period, I have witnessed the topic of data and data quality going from being something “that IT need to fix” to becoming something that most organizations recognize as a critical foundation for running their business effectively and something that requires a certain effort to achieve - not only from IT but also from the business.
Even though coming to this realization is an important first step, then a lot of organizations still struggle where to start on their journey towards a solid data foundation that supports their critical processes, reports and compliance requirements. The good news is that a few fundamental initiatives can get you a long way and at the same time set you in the right direction and lay the foundation towards best practice.
In my current role, working as a consultant for KPMG, I have had the chance to help a number of different organizations, within different industries, getting started on this journey and I look forward to sharing the experiences from these projects.
Privately I live in Roskilde DK together with my wife and two kids (three if you include Kaj the dog) and in my free time I try to go skiing, mountain biking and recently kite surfing as much as possible.
