Brock Satter is Director of Infosoul Laboratories in Salem, Massachusetts, which builds AI systems for libraries, unions, congregations and nonprofits on their own machines, with their own data, under their own control. He has spent thirty years in front of rooms as a community organizer and political candidate. At the University of Minnesota he was a BA student in science, technology and culture, in a major he designed, focusing on information technology, biotechnology and artificial intelligence. He is the author of the forthcoming book The AI Age, For the Layman, a primer for readers who are not engineers, and gives the public talk of the same name and hands-on workshops on running AI locally. He is not selling anything from the stage.
