Game Streaming with Wasm

Wasm's pivotal role in enabling successful media streaming by industry giants like Microsoft, Disney, Netflix, and others is well known. However, the "under-the-hood" intricate workings and infrastructure for game as well as media streaming of WebAssembly remain somewhat opaque due largely to the proprietary services on offer. This talk will provide a look into the internals of how game streaming with Wasm works.

Through a step-by-step demonstration, we showcase how WebAssembly with Emscripten is used to compile the original Doom's code into a format that can be executed within the browser environment. By dissecting the process, attendees will gain insight into the inner workings of WebAssembly for game streaming.

Furthermore, as an open source endeavor, we make all code accessible during the talk and provide resources on GitHub for further exploration and experimentation. Join us to uncover the transformative potential of WebAssembly in shaping the future of media and gaming streaming.
