Workshop: SQL Server Big Data Clusters Architecture
In this workshop, you'll learn how SQL Server Big Data Clusters (BDC) implements large-scale data processing and machine learning, and how to select and plan for the proper architecture to enable machine learning to train your models using Python, R, Java or SparkML to operationalize these models, and how to deploy your intelligent apps side-by-side with their data.
The focus of this workshop is to understand how to deploy an on-premises or local environment of a big data cluster, and understand the components of the big data solution architecture.
You'll start by understanding the concepts of big data analytics, and you'll get an overview of the technologies (such as containers, container orchestration, Spark and HDFS, machine learning, and other technologies) that you will use throughout the workshop. Next, you'll understand the architecture of a BDC. You'll learn how to create external tables over other data sources to unify your data, and how to use Spark to run big queries over your data in HDFS or do data preparation. You'll review a complete solution for an end-to-end scenario, with a focus on how to extrapolate what you have learned to create other solutions for your organization.
SQL Server Big Data Clusters Architecture
In this session you will learn how SQL Server 2019 implements an elastically scalable storage layer that integrates SQL Server on Linux, PolyBase, Containers, Kubernetes, Spark and HDFS to scale to petabytes of data storage. You’ll get a complete explanation about the architecture for this platform, and you’ll also learn about common use case scenarios for using big data clusters.
AI, Machine Learning and Deep Learning for the Data Professional
What is the difference between Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning? And how can each be used? Join Buck Woody, a Data Scientist from the Azure Data team at Microsoft, as he covers simple, clear explanations for these technologies, how they can be applied, and how you can get started learning them yourself. You'll get valuable (free) resources for creating Artificial Intelligence program,s and you'll see examples of code for each area.
SQL Server Security Ground to Cloud - A Workshop Audit
This unique session is an "audit" of a full-day workshop, covering the basics of the computing security landscape, and the Data Professional's responsibilities within it. You'll also learn the latest security frameworks and paradigms, SQL Server security operations both on-premises and in-cloud, and the steps you should secure your organization's data.
