I work at a public high school as a social worker, PRN medical social worker at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital, and I am finishing my Doctorate of Social Work at Aurora University. I have also been in private practice and taught at the graduate level in the school of social work at Aurora University. In the past, I have been a Montessori Teacher to 3-6-year-olds, an elementary school teacher, and a school social worker at two therapeutic day schools. I have also taught at a juvenile detention center. I've helped create a wellness center for students to reset and regroup and learn healthy coping strategies to re-engage themselves back in class. I have provided much-needed support to teachers and students through giving mindfulness practice and instruction and professional development around several SEL topics. I’ve been able to use my performance skills to speak at other conferences and deliver my concepts to large audiences.
