Caitlin Dermody is a second-year doctoral student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is a rising scholar committed to investigating the pedagogical practices and environmental conditions that best support young children’s development. Most recently, she served as the Policy and Research Specialist at CASEL and had the honor to work under the direction of Dr. Linda Dusenbury. Caitlin’s professional experiences are rooted at the nexus of policy and research and her interests include SEL and early childhood education. She has conducted research for The Brookings Institution’s Brown Center on Education Policy and the National Center for Children and Families at Teachers College, Columbia. Caitlin’s scholarship has been featured in multiple publications, including the Washington Post and a recent World Bank volume. Caitlin received her BA in Sociology from Yale University and her MSc in Child Development and Education from the University of Oxford.
