Carmina Catena is the co-founder and CEO of HiPe Kids EU, an online language school specialising in neurodiverse and mixed-ability learners. She holds a Master's in Applied Linguistics (Sussex University), a DELTA, and a CELTA, and brings over 20 years of teaching and teacher training experience across the UK, France and internationally.
For nine years she served as a Pedagogical Consultant for Cambridge English across the PACA region, delivering teacher training seminars in France and Europe, supporting schools on language assessment, and speaking at national education events.
She has founded two language schools, developed original curricula, and trained teachers in evidence-based methodology. She is currently building an AI-powered Teacher Companion - a tool to help educators better understand and support neurodiverse learners - which is already attracting interest from key players in the international education space.
Her work sits at the intersection of cognitive science, language acquisition, inclusion and educational technology, with a particular focus on keeping teachers at the heart of the learning process.
