Caroline began her career as legal counsel to tech startups in the corporate & securities group at Gunderson Dettmer, LLP, a world renowned law firm for representing startups. After 10 years, Ms. McCaffery moved to join a marketing automation company as their first General Counsel. A few years later, she joined an A.I. startup where she expanded her skills to be the VP of Operations and she took on the challenge of ethics in AI. She started ClearOPS in 2017 with a co-founder and has been fervently building a privacy tech startup since. Some refer to Caroline as a "seasoned" executive and while she does not enjoy the age reference, she does like to share her knowledge with others. Ms. McCaffery received her B.A. in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania and JD from New York University School of Law. Caroline is a member of the bar in both NY and CA and is a Certified Privacy Professional (CIPP/US).
